What is Modulation and Demodulation in Networking?

🔁 Modulation

• It is the process of converting digital data into analog signals so it can be transmitted over analog media (like telephone lines or radio waves).

🔁 Demodulation

• The reverse process — converting analog signals back into digital data at the receiving end.

These two processes are combined in a device called a Modem:

Modem = Modulator + Demodulator
