Key concepts within international law include state sovereignty, which emphasizes the independence and authority of states within their territories; state responsibility, which outlines the obligations of states for acts violating international law; and the protection of human rights, a growing area of international law codified in various treaties and declarations. The evolving nature of international law constantly adapts to address emerging global challenges, from climate change to cybersecurity.
