Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is a major Indian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Dehradun, India. Established in 1956, ONGC is one of the largest and most significant players in the Indian energy sector. ONGC was set up under the visionary leadership of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. In-place hydrocarbon reserves of 8.98 billion tonnes have been  have been established by the company. With domestic acreages, it has made over 570 oil and gas innovations, including Ultimate Reserves of 3.13 billion metric tonnes (BMT) of Oil Plus Oil Equivalent Gas.
