Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi assumed the appointment of the Vice Chief of the Army Staff on 19th February 2024. He holding position of VCAS replacing of M.V. Suchindra Kumar.
The General Officer is married to Mrs Sunita Dwivedi, a science graduate, who is a home maker. Mrs Sunita Dwivedi has been associated with Aarushi, an Institute for specially abled children, at Bhopal. The couple are blessed with two daughters.
