On November 13, 2025, India officially commissioned the Mudh-Nyoma Air Force Station in Ladakh, marking a major enhancement in its high-altitude defense infrastructure. Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh landed a C-130J transport aircraft to inaugurate the base.
With this airfield becoming fully operational, India bolsters its strategic posture in a region where high-altitude military infrastructure has huge operational significance.
The Nyoma airbase is not just about transport – its fighter-capable runway means India can rapidly project air power in a critical border sector.
