Digital Signatures

Digital signatures provide authentication and integrity verification for digital data. They leverage asymmetric encryption to create a unique digital fingerprint of a document or message. The sender signs the data using their private key, and the recipient can verify the signature using the sender's public key. This proves that the data originated from the claimed sender and has not been tampered with. Digital signatures are crucial for secure online transactions and document verification.

Factors to consider include the level of security needed, the performance requirements, and the complexity of implementation.
